Post 16 mentoring

We have previously run a very successful project (SMILE Support – Motivate – Inspire – Lead – Empower ) for neurotypical young people supporting them with confidence building, resilience coaching and mentoring to help identify and achieve aspirational goals. Towards the end we found an increasing number of referrals were young people with additional needs, mainly autistic spectrum disorder traits so we created SENSMILE as a bespoke project. Each young person will be seen face to face for up to 10 sessions and progress will be recorded using an individual action plan plotting next steps – these might be things that the young person can do themselves with encouragement and guidance, or we may need to support them in working with our partners. We are currently looking for mentors who can reach Reepham, Norwich and Kings Lynn so if SEN is your passion too please get in touch for an informal discussion

Social F.I.E.L.D

The Social F.I.E.L.D youth club offers the same access and opportunities but is now an independent youth group. For Information please contact Claire Butcher on 07955 574774 or go to https://www.facebook.com/SocialF.I.E.L.D

School Mentoring Project

We are delighted to announce our new MENTORING project for young people in Year 9 to 11 who have additional challenges in their life resulting in an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) to support their journey through school and help them grow in confidence to consider things like volunteering, youth clubs, career ideas, work experience. We are currently seeking funding to extend the service in to new schools and additional year groups across Norfolk and if you would like to know more about becoming a mentor, please contact us.

Our SMILE project has been granted some interim funding to specifically support young people in North Walsham up until April. So rewarding to work with funders who understand and value what we do and take the time to discuss what young people really need at local level!
